The Transportation Process

Order / Load Tender

Order tendering is the initial stage of the transportation process. At this stage, we will ask you to provide all the necessary information about your load, including contact information, addresses, freight weight, type, dimensions, etc. We will also ask you to mention handling conditions, commodity type, and other important data. When we have collected all necessary data, the next step is to matcch you with one of our vetted freight company, a carrier or a 3PL to schedule the load.

Loading

Freight loading is one of the main stages in our transportation process. We play a huge role in the loading process and we don't take that lightly. Our operations team connect with the drivers and remain in constant communication to ensure they arrive on time. Our team also manages the process of safe cargo loading, with our 5-point inspection process. Once satisfied, the carrier then signs a bill of lading and becomes responsible for your freight.

Unloading

During the unloading process, the consignee signs the bill of lading. Once our carrier confirms successful unloading and completes the necessary paperwork, our operations team receive the necessary paperwork and immediately informs our shippers of the delivery. The invoice is then sent over to our shipper to complete the final stage.

Load Scheduling

After tendering the load, we place your load in our customized transportation management system, or TMS. Our specialized software for booking and managing loads provides us with the efficiency that allows us to match you with a reputable carrier that best matches your load requirements and profile. When the load booking is confirmed, we schedule the best pick-up and delivery time that fits the needs of our shippers.

Transit

While your freight is in transit, it is managed and tracked through our advanced TMS system. With our advanced software, shippers have complete transparency into the shipping process and get regular updates from every touch point, to any delays, or discrepancies the carriers may experience along the way. With our dedicated operations team at Straight Forward Freight Brokerage, our shippers stay up to date with their freight status and can be sure everything goes smoothly.

Billing

The final stage of our freight shipping process is billing, when we issue an invoice to our shipper and the bill is paid accordingly. Another satisfied customer!
